Lorain County Beautiful Day (Elyria Pride and Service Day) May 21, 2022
Great job to the Invest Elyria group that came out to volunteer today! They did a major overhaul on the fire station - so overgrown! We pulled a number of plants and found them a new home at the East Falls Riverwalk. Thanks to the firemen for help to dig plants out and laying mulch. Thanks to Bobbie Sears Susan M. Bungard and her nephew Malik Tim Bryan Robert Rios Tirado Jr.. At the Elyria Police Station thanks to LeighAnn Davies-Arroyo and her husband Eugene Tiffany Reedy and her daughter and Chief Pelko for planting and mulching. Special thanks to Brett Schneider from the city for moving around the last of the mulch and everything else you do! Thank you to Jason Lowery for the delivery of doughnuts and the sugar rush 🙂 We want to also thank Donald A. Schuster Greenhouse for the donation of flowers this year! All in all, we enjoy helping the city!

WARMING DRIVE:
We invite everyone to drop off adult size: socks (new), coats (make sure the zippers work), and gloves. We also need scarves, hats, sweaters, sweatshirts or anything that those in need can use to stay warm. Deadline to drop off items is Friday January 14, 2022. On January 17, 2022 we will place all the items in Ely Square for those in need to take right on the spot for four days. After that date all remaining items will be taken down and donated to local churches. Help us to continue to help others! |
