Due to construction of the new library at East Ave./2nd Street the Elyria Farmers Market will be held this year at the East Falls Riverwalk on Kerstetter Way (behind the Elyria Police Department Station). See map below
Our market will open Saturdays June 15, 2019 and run till September 14th! Open 9 am-1 pm. Special event dates-Opening Day, and Kid's Day. We are currently looking for vendors if interested contact us by email at t.bryan@investelyria.org. or click the link below for vendor resources and your vendor's application. At the market we feature locally grown and prepared foods, homemade goods and a family friendly environment. Look here to see when the market opens for the variety of items the vendors have to offer and special events for each week.

Mobile Market: Invest Elyria working with Our F.A.M.I.L.Y. will be delivering food to those in need to locations in our city with our "Mobile Market" project. Thank you to Bendix Corp., and Buckeye Health Plan for your generous donations for this project. Thank you to Our F.A.M.I.L.Y (Fathers and Mothers Involved in Local Youth), and 2nd Harvest Food Bank for all you've doing to keep this mobile market "rolling" in 2018. In 2019 working with the Lorain County Metropolitan Housing Authority we opened a food pantry in Wilkes Villa where we will be able to store food throughout the year for distributions there on the last Thursday of each month
ELYRIA — 7-31-19; Precision Paving Inc. has begun paving multiple city streets and several parking lots, the Elyria Engineer’s Office announced.
Work began or will begin on the following streets:
East River Street,
Park Avenue,
Belmont Avenue,
Prospect Avenue,
Morgan Avenue,
Dartmouth Circle,
University Avenue,
Columbus Street,
Fifth Street,
Eighth Street,
13th Street,
Gates Avenue,
West 19th Street,
Oak Street,
Brandston Avenue,
Fairwood Boulevard,
Georgetown Avenue,
Carol Lane,
Walnut Street and
Irondale Street.
The parking lots at the East Recreation Center and Hilltop Park also will be paved.
Residents of Columbus Street — portions of which still are paved with brick — said work started there Tuesday.
The contractor will post signs with parking restrictions, and residents will be allowed to park in their front yards during the resurfacing work if street parking is not available.
